About
A small separate filial community in the south of the former Núi Thành district, with just over a hundred faithful, in the care of the Congregation of the Mother Coredemptrix (CMC); its patrons are the Martyrs of Vietnam (24 November). The number of faithful quoted above comes from the 2015 diocesan directory.
History
It is listed among the Tam Kỳ deanery as a separate filial community; the 2015 diocesan table records 112 faithful under Fr Gioan Eude Maria Nguyễn Văn Mộng Diễm, CMC. Fr Bênêđictô Nguyễn Tấn Khóa took up the pastoral care of Phú Quý in 2009, after thirty-seven years as pastor of Tam Kỳ.
