A small act of service: why GiaoXu.net exists
Why a small group of us created GiaoXu.net, and an invitation for our brothers and sisters to join hands so that everyone in the Diocese of Đà Nẵng can find the Mass nearest to them.
Joining hands so everyone can find the Mass nearest to them
The Diocese of Đà Nẵng is in a vibrant city, home to many tourists, workers and migrant brothers and sisters who come from many places to study, work and live. In this busy life, knowing Mass times and finding a church near where you are staying can sometimes be a very practical need.
A visitor stopping in Đà Nẵng, a migrant brother or sister newly arrived in the city, or simply someone in another part of the Diocese—sometimes all they need is accurate information about the nearest Mass time so they do not miss Sunday Mass or a daily Mass.
With this concern in mind, a small group of us quietly set to work, and now GiaoXu.net is essentially complete—a simple tool to help everyone easily find information about parishes, sub-parishes and Mass times in the Diocese of Đà Nẵng. The site is free, has no advertisements and does not track anyone.
Where the Mass times here come from
Every time slot comes with a source and a date checked—we do not guess Mass times. Where we are not sure, we leave it blank rather than fill it in arbitrarily.
What can you do here?
Find a church by name (searches work without diacritics) or by location near you.
See the Sunday Mass, Saturday evening vigil Mass and weekday Mass times for each church.
See the schedule of Masses for Christmas, Tết (Lunar New Year) and special occasions when a parish announces them.
Add your parish’s Mass times to your phone calendar, along with the liturgical calendar if you wish.
We really need our brothers and sisters to join hands
To make the information truly complete, accurate and useful, we really need our brothers and sisters to join hands. We earnestly invite Catholics in Đà Nẵng to join a small group and set aside a little time to check, add and update the Mass times of the parishes and sub-parishes they know or attend.
Every accurately updated piece of information can help someone far from home find a Mass, help a visitor attend Mass where they are staying—and above all, help our brothers and sisters more easily draw near to God and to a community of faith close to them.
See a time that is incorrect? Click “Report incorrect information” on the church page—a single line is enough; the editorial team will check it with the parish and then update it.
Want to keep an eye on your parish? Every few months, check the notice board at the church and send us a message.
Have a beautiful photo of a church, or are you good at foreign languages? Please send us a photo or help translate for visitors from far away.
This is a small act, but if many people each contribute a little time and dedication, we can create a useful tool for the whole Diocese. We invite you to join us →
🌿 GiaoXu.net — so that everyone, wherever they may be in the Diocese, can easily find a Mass in a nearby community, where they can be with God and have God within them.
